† About †
Composed of an open gathering of musicians belonging to well-known bands, La Morte Viene Dallo Spazio was born in Milan as an open ensemble which reached its shape with a stable line-up only at the beginning of 2018.
Inspired by sci-fi Italian movies and soundtracks, passing through space rock, the ritual atmospheres of La Morte Viene Dallo Spazio craft a both vibrant and hypnotic effect increasing nodding into the dark ambient music with doom metal influences. Its sound is a departure from the norm, a free-form journey with no defined destination or resolution in mind, a synth laden soundscape which gives a mental image of ancient mysticism. The band combines flavours of Middle Eastern scales, fuzz-enriched guitars, flutes, theremin and moog, along with cutting and delayed vocals.
Stylistically La Morte Viene Dallo Spazio seems to be the soundtrack to a movie - the band name itself comes from the original title of the 1959 Italian sci-fi film 'The Day the Sky Exploded'.
After the first work ‘Sky Over Giza’ was released by Debemur Morti Productions and Bloodrock Records, the band has performed in several festivals and now is been touring across Europe waiting for the next album to be released.
